This case involves the abuse and neglect of our client, an elderly woman suffering from dementia, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes. Because of her various conditions, she required constant care and assistance at the nursing facility where she was living. She especially required extensive care regarding her medication for her diabetes. The facility staff, however, failed to correctly medicate our client for her condition. As a result of neglect, she passed away. This case settled confidentially for $250,000.00.
