Katy graduated magna cum laude from California State University Long Beach in 2018 with her degree in Sociology and graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree from The University of Mississippi in 2022, where she served as the President of the Latinx Law Student Association, executive board of Magnolia Public Defenders Association, member of the trial advocacy team for the Interprofessional Education Board, and member of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity. She also served as a limited practice student attorney with the MacArthur Justice Center and the Shelby County Public Defender’s Office in Memphis, Tennessee, where she worked in the Major Crimes Unit and Drug Court.
After law school, Katy moved back to the Conejo Valley and now lives in Thousand Oaks with her husband and baby daughter. She loves to travel, try new local restaurants, and watch movies.
