This case involves the mistreatment and neglect of an elderly woman living in a skilled nursing facility. Our client was admitted to the skilled nursing facility to recover from hip surgery on her fractured hip. She frequently complained to her family that she was not being turned enough in bed, and her family communicated this to the nursing staff. However, the staff failed to do anything about these complaints, and as a result our client developed severe pressure sores. She was brought to the hospital as a result of her wounds but sadly passed away. This case settled confidentially for $350,000.00.
